Lionel Ainsworth has spoken of his desire to get his career back on track at Shrewsbury. The winger, 22, first rose to prominence under Town boss Graham Turner during their time together at Hereford, attracting the attention of Watford who took him on loan and then on a permanent deal. A successful short loan spell back at Edgar Street soon saw him return to Watford but he failed to hit similar heights at Vicarage Road and was signed by Huddersfield. He again struggled to make an impact in Yorkshire and also saw a separate loan stint at Brentford cut short due to his behaviour after being substituted by Bees boss Andy Scott. But after linking back up with Turner at the Greenhous Meadow - a big selling point for Ainsworth - the youngster is keen to get back to what he does best. "Luckily enough I`m young enough to hopefully go again, and see if I can get to the heights as I did from Hereford under Graham Turner to Watford," he told Shrews Player. "Hopefully I can repay Graham and give him thanks for believing in me again so I can go on and do it for him and Shrewsbury Football Club. I`m raring to go now, I just really want to get the season started and get going."
