Steve Guinan has now left the club after he was not offered a contact extension. This comes two days after Rioch, Tretton and Walker left the club.
Kevin Ratcliffe has again been forced to act due to the collapse of ITV Digital. Kevin speaking to Shrewsweb stated:
“I've had to released Andy Tretton, Gregor Rioch, Steve Guinan and Josh Walker from the football club”.
“The decision is based on purely a financial reason, not a footballing one”
“It’s all to do with finances. We don’t know where we are with the ITV Digital money, so we have to cut our cloth accordingly”.
This will come as a blow to Guinan who was a Transfer Deadline Day signing. He gave 110% in every match he played towards the end of the season and deserved to stay at the club for another season.
