Shrewsbury go into their Carling Cup first-round tie against Charlton without the suspended Kevin McIntyre. The midfielder received a straight red in Saturday`s 3-1 victory over Bradford at the Greenhous Meadow and will now serve a three-match ban, ruling him out until the trip to Stockport on September 28. Otherwise, manager Graham Turner has no fresh injury concerns and is likely to limit the number of changes to the side who kicked off the club`s 2010/11 campaign in style against one of the favoured teams for promotion. Kris Bright could return into contention after illness but fellow striker Nathan Elder (knee ligaments) is sidelined for the long-term. Shrews will again have to be at their best if they are to see off an Addicks side who will surely be there or thereabouts at the top of League One this term, starting their promotion charge with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend.
