Ratts Could Look Into Flynn Move.

The door at Tranmere has been left open for Flynn to renew his contract but with the current financial climate he (and others) must be willing to discuss more realistic deals the Offical Rovers Website has reported.

Sean Flynn is rumoured to be looking for a move closer to home. The former West Brom midfielder is still living in the Midlands and after two years of commuting to Prenton Park he is believed to be looking elsewhere.

An all-action midfield dynamo, Sean Flynn became John Aldridge's fourth summer capture when he was secured on a two-year deal in July 2000.

Despite skippering West Brom away from the threat of relegation and winning the Player of the Season award, Flynn was surprisingly released by Baggies boss Gary Megson and John Aldridge wasted little time in adding the former hod-carrier to his squad.

Birmingham-born Flynn started his career in non-league circles at the age of 23 with Halesowen Town before earning an awe-inspiring move to the top flight of English football with Coventry City in December 1991.

He played 99 games for the Sky Blues before moving on to Derby under Jim Smith for a fee of £250,000. After a brief loan spell with Stoke, West Brom added him to their ranks in August 1997 where he became a huge favourite with the Hawthorns faithful.

A hard-working, right-sided or central midfielder who never delivers anything less than 100% commitment, Flynn unfortunately, blotted his copybook when he was sent off on his Tranmere debut against Wimbledon.

Known as one of the more vocal members of the first team squad, Flynn leads by example - shouting, gesticulating, and urging his team-mates on to the bitter end.
