Shrewsbury have been warned by their skipper Ian Sharps that they must cut out their mistakes to bring an end to a dismal run. Town emerged as one of the early favourites for the League Two crown but have slipped from first to fifth during a run of just one win in six game. Sharps joined The Shrews in June and he told BBC Radio Shropshire that he knows performances need to improve. He said: "We've got to eradicate the lapses of concentration and individual errors. We're a good team and I fancy us against anyone. But we've got to stop saying it and just do it." Shrewsbury's run of poor form includes defeats to Port Vale, Chesterfield and Morecambe as well as draws with Torquay and Wycombe. Their only win during this mini-slump was a 2-0 victory against struggling Lincoln City.
