Midfielder John Halls could make his first appearance of the season following a groin injury.
Shots boss John Dillon has no new injury concerns with Marvin Morgan set to lead the line following his winner against Southend.
Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire: "Aldershot are a very well organised and energetic side who've got certain threats - it could be as tough a game as we can expect all season.
"[Former Shrews defender] Ben Herd is one to watch out for.
"He's a very competent and aggressive full-back - but we've got players who can get at him and the other full-back.
"We've got to make sure we're focussed, but if we get the ball down, pass it, get our movement, we won't worry too much about the opposition."
Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon told BBC Surrey: "If you're inside Shrewsbury's camp you'd be happy with their start. They had a great result against Charlton in the Cup.
"Coming back from three down at any level against any team is fantastic.
"It'll be a good game for us. It'll probably be the same team, the same formation and the same strategy for us.
"I'm very happy with everything so far. The players that we've brought in are better and more professional. The players we had here have improved as well."
