Shrewsbury Town have announced that they will have to increase ticket prices due to losses of over £200,000 as a result of the ITV Digital crisis.
Fans have been told they will have to pay £2 extra to watch each game as the club attempts to breach the deficit.
Other cut-backs are in Kevin Ratcliffe's players' budget with the exits of Gregor Rioch and Andrew Tretton believed to be a result of this.
"The ITV Digital revenue is not a handout or a charity payment - it is a rights payment for television pictures and due to all clubs whether they are televised or not," club secretary Judy Shone told the Shropshire Star.
"We at Shrewsbury have always run a tight ship, and we are looking at all areas of the club in order to make savings and increase revenue. As a direct result of the ITV Digital collapse, the football club will lose over £200,000.
"With the price increases, should gates remain the same, we would raise an extra £96,500. This figure is still far short of the money the club would lose."
