Shrewsbury Town are still in a position to win promotion from League Two despite slumping to a third straight defeat, says defender Kelvin Langmead.Town's 2-0 loss at the Recreation Ground on Saturday came on the back of reverses to Grimsby Town and Rochdale.
But Town, ninth, are only three points adrift of the play-off pack.
"We're still in a good position. We can't lose sight of that because we're blowing it at the moment," Langmead told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"We've lost our way a bit and we haven't been good enough. But we're not giving up."
Town still have nine games left to play, starting with this Saturday's home game against managerless bottom club Darlington (27 March, 1500 GMT). And Langmead insists that last season's beaten League Two play-off finalists will fight all the way.
"There's still things to be done," he said. "We've got nine games left to get ourselves back up into the play-offs.
"We've all got to pull together and make sure we come through this."
Town's three successive defeats have seen them ship six goals. But, crucially, Paul Simpson's men have now failed to find the back of the net in over five hours of football.
Simpson is hopeful that 14-goal top scorer Dave Hibbert might be back in time to face Darlo once he has recovered from a groin injury.
But Hibbert, who has missed Town's last two matches, has not scored since 23 January, having gone eight games without a goal prior to his injury.
