The 20-year old striker has not made an impact at the Yorkshire club this season after signing from Huddersfield last summer.
And now Barnsley boss Paul Hart has given Onibuje permission to play for the Town reserves against Rochdale tomorrow. The 6' 7" giant Onibuje was born in Nigeria and has been on the books of Charlton, Millwall and Preston.
He has not played much first team football but has scored three goals for the reserves this season.
His arrival comes after the news that Phil Midworth has signed non-contract terms with Burton Albion, of the Conference. Midworth had been due to play in Wednesday's reserve game.
