Town were not at the races throughout, barring a push for an equaliser in the last 10 minutes which was a case of too little too late for the Shropshire side.
The only positive on a dour day for Turner`s outfit was the fact they only lost 1-0, Shaun Miller side-footing home his 10th goal of the season from eight yards in the 67th minute.
It was Town`s first home defeat of the season in the league and Turner`s first in front of his own fans. And he said: "The result was disappointing but even more was the level of performance. Apart from the last 10 minutes, the way we played was as poor as any since I've been here.
"There was no urgency, no pace and we let Crewe dictate play. I think they played extremely well and they're a good passing side. They hurt us. The front two caused us problems and the midfield ran the show.
"The goal we conceded was a shocker. It was very poor defensively but that wasn't the only one, we often allowed players into dangerous positions. I'm concerned we are not scoring goals compared with early in the season. We created nothing."
