Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner felt Chesterfield`s opener at the weekend changed the complexion of the encounter as Town went 4-0 down before fighting back to lose by the odd goal in seven. Town failed to clear their lines after Jack Lester could not get his head on Dan Gray`s cross and the ball was eventually recycled to Drew Talbot who fired the Spireites into a 29th-minute lead. The hosts quickly racked up a commanding advantage before three goals in the final 10 minutes from Shrews set up a nervy finale, which Turner also believes could have led to a point had their breakthrough come a little earlier. He said: "I thought we had a reasonable start to the game and we got into good areas without getting the final cross in and we should have done better. But then the first goal set us back and it was a horrible goal to concede. "We had possession deep in our half and we should have been comfortable but we gave it away and they scored. That put a different complexion on the game, they upped their game and we dropped off a notch or two and we couldn't cope with their forward play, particularly the front two. "But in the last 15 minutes if we had scored a bit earlier I am convinced we would have come away with a point. We showed a little bit of spirit and tenacity at the end of the game when we had more energy and more movement and we chased lost causes which we didn't do before that."
