Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner was delighted with his players after they reached the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Second Round with a 1-0 win over Oldham. The League Two side advanced past their League One opponents thanks to Steve Leslie's late winner. Turner said: "Oldham started extremely well and passed it around us without creating anything but we have won, hit the post and hit the bar. "I am pleased with the mentality of the players because you need a winning mentality to be a successful team. "Steve Leslie is always capable of scoring a goal like that but at the other end our keeper did not have an awful lot to do. "We finished both halves strongly and it is pleasing to see not only our appetite but our level of fitness as well."
