Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner insists the £500,000 cash windfall received as part of Joe Hart's move to Manchester City will be kept for a rainy day. The 23-year-old made 54 appearances for the Shrews before joining then-manager Stuart Pearce at City in May 2006. Hart has since gone onto establish himself as City' No.1 and made his first competitive start for the England national team on Friday evening, earning his hometown club £500,000 under the terms of his sale. "That money coming in will be set aside for the needs if ever they arise," Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire. "Having been a chairman myself, I know how difficult it is to run a club at this level and keep it in the black." "So I've continued the habit of not spending money I don't feel is necessary to spend," he added. "If there's some good young players out there we feel could be an investment, the chairman, I have no doubts will back us with the finances to buy those players."
