Wiliknson joined Town in March and has featured at right-back and in midfield. It appears that one clause in the loan deal could allow Town to extend the deal over the course of next season.
The two managers, Tony Pulis and Gary Peters, were set to discuss the move in the near future.
Wilkinson told the Shropshire Star: "It is very much a case of wait and see from my point of view and it's up to the two managers who are going to sit down and decide what's best."
The paper also reported that Wilkinson would like to stay if it were up to him.
The 20-year-old has so far played nine times for Town, and has also been on loan at Telford and Partick Thistle.
