Town moved to sign the veteran striker yesterday, and Sheron was happy to sign after training with his new team-mates.
Sheron's former clubs include Manchester City, Norwich, QPR, Barnsley, Blackpool, and most recently Macclesfield Town. The striker has scored four tikmes this season.
Sheron did not feature in Town's defeat to Macclesfield on Saturday. He told ShrewsWeb: "I've been held back a little at Macclesfield recently but the lads have been doing well and it's understandable that the lads who are in the side deserve to stay in there."
And boss Gary Peters was also delighted with the capture. He told the Town website: "He's played at a number of clubs and has played in the Premier League and has scored goals where ever he's gone.
"We've signed him at the right time as Duane Darby is out for a month or so, and Luke is suspended so we needed to look at what we were doing forward-wise. We only had the one forward for cover last week with John Grant coming on as a sub."
Sheron should feature in Town's trip to Lincoln on Saturday.
