Shrews recover to beat Sky BluesShrewsbury moved eight points clear of the Sky Bet League One relegation zone after coming from behind to beat Coventry 2-1.Micky Mellon's side are now unbeaten in their last six league games after inflicting a fourth successive defeat on the Sky Blues, who remain outside the play-off places.Coventry started brightly and took a fourth-minute lead when Aaron Martin turned in the rebound from close range after goalkeeper Mark Halstead was unable to hold John Fleck's 25-yard drive.But Shrewsbury were level within six minutes as Sullay Kaikai, on loan from Crystal Palace, stylishly rounded goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook after a clever pass from Larnell Cole opened up the Sky Blues defence.Coventry then carved out a string of chances with Jacob Murphy and Joe Cole both drilling shots off target before Fleck's neat chip struck the bar and Halstead saved well with his legs to deny Chris Stokes from close range.Shrewsbury moved ahead in the 39th minute when the in-form Shaun Whalley headed in Ian Black's free-kick from the right for his seventh goal of the season.Coventry were only saved from an heavier defeat by impressive keeper Charles-Cook, who pulled off excellent saves to deny Black's long-range strike just before the break, and then both Cole and Whalley in the second half
